Overwhelming victory for Cuba at the UN: 185 countries vote against the blockade

Cuba celebrates Thursday a new victory in its struggle against the U.S. blockade, by achieving overwhelming support in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) for a resolution approved by 185 votes in favor, two against and two abstentions.
 
The report presented for the thirtieth time states that only between August 2021 and February 2022 that unilateral policy caused Cuba losses in the order of 3,806.5 million dollars. The figure is 49% higher than that reported between January and July 2021 and a record in just seven months.
 

Debates on the resolution against the U.S. blockade of Cuba begin at the UN

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) will begin today with the first of two days of debates on the draft resolution to end the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba.
 
As part of the 77th session of the UNGA, on Wednesday and Thursday, the representatives of the different countries will pronounce themselves on the issue, on what will be the thirtieth occasion that the matter comes to the plenary.
 

Venezuelan Parliamentary Group demands the end to the blockade against Cuba

The Venezuela-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group demanded an end to the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on the Caribbean island, which it described as criminal, illegal, and unjust.
 
The proposal of the legislators also demanded the withdrawal of the Antillean nation from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, as it is, they said, "a vile lie" against that country.
 

Venezuelan professor predicts Cuba's triumph against the US blockade

The coordinator of the Political and Government Studies Program of the Bolivarian University of Venezuela (UBV), Luis Alvarez, predicted a new victory for Cuba in its struggle against the U.S. blockade.
 
In an interview with Prensa Latina, the Venezuelan professor assured that "the commitment of the international community" to the island will be reaffirmed once again.
 

Cuba and Argentina hold talks on migration issues

Representatives of Cuba and Argentina will hold today in Buenos Aires the First Round of Talks on Migratory Issues with the purpose of guaranteeing a regulated, orderly and safe flow of travelers.
 
The meeting is being headed by the Cuban Director General of Consular Affairs and Attention to Cubans Living Abroad, Ernesto Soberón, and the Argentine delegation will be represented by the head of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry, Ana Laura Cachaza.
 

II Meeting of Bridges of Love from Venezuela against the blockade to Cuba

The José Martí Cultural Foundation and the Simón Rodríguez House of First Letters organized for today, the Second Meeting of Bridges of Love, which among its objectives is to denounce the blockade policy against Cuba, Venezuela and other nations.
 
This cultural and recreational activity will support the mobilization that will take place this Saturday in New York City, prior to next week's annual vote on the draft resolution rejecting the economic, commercial and financial siege against the island.
 

March today in New York to demand an end to the U.S. blockade of Cuba

More than a hundred organizations in solidarity with Cuba will hold a large march today in New York to demand an end to the economic, financial and commercial blockade maintained by the United States against the island.
 
The demonstration will take place from the iconic Times Square building to the United Nations headquarters, as a prelude to the vote on the resolution in the UN General Assembly on the need to end the unilateral siege by Washington, to be held on November 2 and 3.
 

EIPCO for unity: in Havana

Delegates from 65 countries from all continents will attend the 22nd EIPCO, International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties to be held 27-29 at the Havana Convention Palace.
 
"United we are stronger" is the slogan of the event in which representatives of 82 political forces and 31 delegations headed by their presidents or general secretaries will participate.
 

Cuban President stresses illegitimacy of U.S. blockade

On Tuesday, Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, highlighted the illegitimacy of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade, a policy maintained and intensified by the United States despite the rejection of the international community.
