Cuba needs solidarity today more than ever, says a Chilean senator

Solidarity with Cuba today is more necessary than ever in the face of the U.S. blockade and the complexities generated by Covid-19 and the war in Europe said Chilean Senator Daniel Nuñez.
 
The parliamentarian recalled the close relations between the two countries from the very moment of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
 
The ties between the two peoples became much deeper during the dictatorship (1973-1990) when the Cuban government received many Chileans and also supported the return to democracy, he told Prensa Latina.
 

Cuba calls to defend the truth to preserve world peace

The president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Fernando Gonzalez Llort, called for defending the truth to preserve world peace and protect human and collective rights in the face of the escalation of hatred that hinders the path of social justice for all.
 
He also called for strengthening unity based on respect for diversity and expressed his firm conviction that socialism is the only possible alternative to sustain the human species.
 

Díaz-Canel meets with Turkish businessmen

On a transit stopover in Istanbul, Turkey, the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, holds a meeting with Turkish businessmen convened by DEIK, a Business Diplomacy Organization that leads the foreign economic relations of that country's private sector.
 
The purpose of the meeting is to promote ideas and projects to increase the relationship between Turkish businessmen and Cuba, said Díaz-Canel.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez on Wednesday favored diversifying commercial, financial, and other spheres of relations with Türkiye, after meeting here with his counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Presidents of Cuba and Russia hold talks in the Kremlin

The president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel held an important meeting today in the Kremlin as part of the official visit of the Cuban head of state to the Russian Federation.

The president of the National Assembly of Cuba, Esteban Lazo, will visit Moscow shortly, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel announced today in Moscow.
 
"The president of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, visited us in February this year and shortly comrade Lazo will respond to that visit, said Diaz-Canel while speaking Tuesday before the State Duma (Lower House of Parliament).
 

Cuban president continues program of activities in Moscow

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has paid a heartfelt tribute to the Soviet soldiers who fell in the Great Patriotic War.  At around 11 am local time on Monday, the head of state arrived at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, located in front of the Kremlin wall.
 
Hours earlier, he held a meeting with Guennadi Andrèyevich Ziugànov, general secretary of the Russian Communist Party, in the context of his official visit to this country.

Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, through his Twitter profile, greeted the people and government of Qatar, on the occasion of the celebration of the 22nd World Cup.
 
The foreign minister wrote "we salute the brotherly Qatari people and government for the great effort made to organize this event, the first time in an Arab country" and wished success during the development of this great event, scheduled until December 18.
