U.S. Representative Calls for End to Blockade Against Cuba

A member of the U.S. House of Representatives, James McGovern, a Democrat from the U.S. state of Massachusetts, urged President Barack Obama to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba for over 50 years.

The UN General Assembly today adopted almost unanimously, and for twenty-third consecutive year, a resolution demanding the end to the US blockade against Cuba, unilateral measures imposed by Washington since 1962.
