Cuban foreign minister highlights work of health professionals in battle against COVID-19

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez evoked the thoughts of José Martí, 'Patria es Humanidad' (Homeland is Humanity), to highlight the efforts of doctors and nurses in the fight against COVID-19 in Cuba and other countries.
 
"Under that maxim of Jose Marti, our health professionals defend medical care, the well-being of the peoples and life from different corners of the world," the Cuban foreign minister published on his Twitter social network account.
 

St. Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister receives Cuban medical brigade

The Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, received on Thursday a medical brigade from Cuba that will help his country deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
With applause and exclamations of 'long live Cuba and long live Venezuela,' the Vincentians expressed their gratitude and admiration for the arrival of the Cuban Health personnel, who came on a plane owned by the Venezuelan airline Conviasa.

The African Union’s voice of solidarity was raised at the organization’s headquarters in Addis Ababa, to reiterate condemnation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States.
 
A resolution on the impact of sanctions and unilateral coercive measures, adopted by heads of state and government of AU member countries, points to the U.S. blockade as the main obstacle to Cuba’s implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Cuba describes on Monday the campaign against the medical collaboration offered in the world as genocidal, under a principle of solidarity based on the legacy of Cuban National Hero Jose Marti that Homeland is humanity.
 
Rolando Gomez, charge d'affairs at the Cuban Embassy in Brazil, expressed this statement to TV Comunitaria. He said that the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, 'turn this Marti's principle into the heritage of our people.'
 

France calls implementation of the Helms-Burton Act against Cuba unacceptable

The government of France has reiterated its condemnation of the implementation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act.
 
The upper house of parliament published the French position on its website. It conveys a Foreign Ministry's response to Senator Catherine Conconne of Martinique, who, on November 28, asked Quai d'Orsay for the French position on the strengthening of the White House's hostility towards Cuba.
