U.S. blockade against Cuba remains intact, Deputy FM says

Cuba's Deputy Foreign Minister, Elio Rodríguez, affirmed that the U.S. blockade of the island remains intact, according to La Estrella de Panamá newspaper.
 
Since the blockade was imposed, Cuba has suffered economic losses of around 160 billion dollars, Rodríguez said and added that it affects all aspects of the lives of Cubans, not only the government.
 

ExpoCaribe concludes in Santiago de Cuba

The Cuban Chamber of Commerce president, Antonio Carricarte, described the 17th ExpoCaribe Fair as brief but intense as he closed the event on Sunday.
 
He said that the attendance of 24 countries, mainly from the Caribbean area and after two years of confrontation with Covid-19, confirmed the interest in the Cuban economy and the degree of maturity achieved, especially in the preparation of entrepreneurs.
 

Cuban Foreign Minister pays an official visit to Uganda

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Sunday met with Anita Annet Among, speaker of the Ugandan Parliament, as part of his official visit to this African country.

Cuban President acknowledges challenges to further empowerment of women

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel acknowledged on Friday that beyond the policies for the empowerment of women promoted by the Revolution, there are still debts, for which there is a national program.
 
In a meeting in Havana with over a hundred Cuban women, the President said that if one Revolution has done for women, it is this one, but there are still challenges.
 
"We recognize all that has been done, but we cannot remain idle or complacent; there are still many things to be done," said the head of State.
 

Role of youth in strengthening socialism highlighted in Cuba

The president of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (Parliament), Esteban Lazo, highlighted the eve the contributions of young people to the country and the importance of their proposals to continue strengthening socialism.

Delegation of Cuba’s Parliament reached its final day in Belgium

A delegation from the Cuban National Assembly headed by its secretary Homero Acosta is culminating its work program in Belgium, where it strengthened ties with the House of Representatives and the European Union.
 
On the fourth and last day of work on Belgian soil, before traveling to Luxembourg, the group will conduct new meetings on the agenda in the Chamber and in the European Parliament, where issues such as cooperation, health, change climate, the reality of Cuba and the blockade imposed by the United States were addressed in previous days.
 

BioCubaFarma broadens collaboration with Belarus

Belarussian Minister of Health Dimitri Pinevich received a BioCubaFarma delegation, June 21, visiting the country to discuss efforts to further develop commercial and scientific cooperation in the production of biopreparations and medications, reported Cubaminrex.

Solidarity of Bridges of Love and US students headed to Cuba

With a milk powder cargo for Cuban pediatric hospitals, a group of 40 students from the United States will arrive in Havana on Wednesday along with the activist Carlos Lazo, coordinator of the Bridges of Love project.
 
The young people, who are also accompanied by some of their parents, are excited to lend a hand to the people of Cuba, Lazo told Prensa Latina shortly before leaving for Cuba from Miami.
