President Raúl Castro addressed Saturday's opening session of the 7th Congress of the Cuban Communist Party.
Raúl Castro, who is also the Party's First Secretary, presented a report on the work of the political organization, a document that reviews the country's economic performance since the previous congress, the sixth such gathering, held in 2011.

The "Second International Student Friendship Meeting / Africa-Cuba" concluded Tuesday here in Havana with a Final Declaration. More than 100 representatives from 23 nations took part in the meeting at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp.
