Cuban lawmakers assess a social communication bill

Cuban lawmakers to the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP, Parliament) assessed a social communication bill during the 2nd extraordinary session of the legislative body in its 10th Legislature.
 
As explained by the president of the Institute of Information and Social Communication, Alfonso Noya, the regulation aims to regulate the communication system for strategic and integrated management in the organizational, media, and community areas, for political, public good, organizational, and commercial purposes, both in physical and digital public spaces.

Call for a Conference of the Communist Party of Cuba

Medicines and sanitary materials for Cuba from Spain

A shipment of medicines and sanitary materials was sent to Cuba by air, as part of the campaign to the areas affected by hurricane Ian, it was informed today.
 
The shipment, worth 21,500 euros, was in charge of the Ernesto Guevara Association of Torrejon de Ardoz, the Valencian Association of Friendship with Cuba José Marti and Medicuba-Spain.
 
Actions of this kind, Cubainformación explained, are carried out by the State Movement of Solidarity with Cuba (MESC), to which the three aforementioned entities belong.
 

Cuban youths lead Workers’ Day rally

More than 200,000 trade unionists from Cuba's third most populated city celebrated International Workers' Day on Friday, convinced of the idea of a better Cuba, especially for young people.

The Cubana de Aviación company will resume today its operations between Argentina and Cuba with a direct flight to Cayo Coco, in the central province of Ciego de Ávila.
 
According to the airline, the trip will end in Havana and will have a weekly frequency.
 
Venus Rodríguez, general manager of the company in Argentina, specified that the entity has the authorization of the National Civil Aviation Administration until October 25, after which the corresponding renewal will be processed.
 

International Congress of Cultural Heritage begins in Cuba

The first International Congress of Cultural Heritage opens its doors today in Havana to pay tribute to the centenary of the birth of the Cuban sculptor and ceramic artist Marta Arjona.
 
The contest will take place from May 3 to 5 and its scientific program includes the opening at 9:00 local time of an audiovisual projection in tribute to the artist.
