Cuban president returns to his Homeland after participating in III CELAC-EU Summit

President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez has arrived back home, after his visit to Portugal and his participation in the CELAC-EU Summit, held in Belgium.
 
He was met at the airport by Vice President Salvador Valdés Mesa and the Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee, Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda.
 
At the III Summit, an event that returned after eight years of absence, voices from the South advocated for profitable links, given the potential of the 60 countries concerned, representing one billion inhabitants of the planet.

Cuba's deputy prime minister arrives in Nicaragua

Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Tapia has arrived in Nicaragua to participate in the central act for the 44th anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista People's Revolution.
 
The high-ranking Cuban leader arrived in this Central American country together with the director for Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Gustavo Véliz.
 

UPEC headquarters exhibits 80 images of Fidel Castro

The exhibition, which shows passages of Fidel Castro’s life from 1952 to 2010, was inaugurated on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the UPEC, according to the official website of the Ministry of Culture of Cuba. As Honorary President of that organization, Tubal Paez was in charge of the opening speech and said that this kind of map summarizes seven decades of relationship between the historic leader of the Revolution and the press.

 

Cuba to take active and constructive stance at EU-Celac Summit

“Cuba will participate actively and very constructively in relations between the EU and Latin America,” President Miguel Díaz Canel said in a statement to reporters at the end of a meeting with his Portuguese counterpart, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

 

On the first day of his State visit to Portugal, Diaz-Canel took the opportunity to thank the position of the EU against the United States blockade, on the 35th anniversary of relations.

 

Díaz-Canel arrives in Portugal

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, arrived in Portugal after one o'clock in the afternoon, local time, to begin a state visit that will last until July 16, in response to an invitation extended by the government of this country, located in southwestern Europe, in the Iberian Peninsula.
 

MEP slams EP resolution against Cuba

Spanish MEP Manu Pineda strongly condemned a resolution against Cuba approved in the European Parliament.
 
Despite the infamous insulting resolution, the peoples of the world are with you (Cuba), he said in a message of fraternal greetings to Cuba.

Cuban foreign minister denounces manipulative behavior of the EU at CELAC Summit

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez today denounced the lack of transparency and manipulative behavior of the European Union (EU) in the preparation of the 3rd CELAC-EU Summit.
 
In a video shared on Twitter, the Cuban foreign minister stressed that such actions seriously jeopardize the success of the meeting and the possibility of reaching final agreements.
 

Yemen and Cuba promote ties in environmental matters

Yemen and Cuba agreed on the need of intensifying bilateral cooperation, including the issue of environmental investments, the Saba news agency reported.
 
According to the source, the matter was discussed during a meeting in Havana between the first deputy minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba, Ana Teresita González, and the head of Water and Environment of Yemen, Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi.
 

Cuba chairs G77 plus China environmental authorities dialogue

High-ranking authorities and ministers of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation of the Group of 77+China are meeting this Tuesday in Cuba, as part of the 14th Convention on Environment and Development, scheduled to last until next Friday.
 
Cuba's Hotel Nacional will host the G77+China meeting, whose pro tempore presidency is held by the Caribbean island, and whose objectives include approving a final declaration to take action against climate change, soil degradation and pollution and in favor of biodiversity protection.
 

Bolivia's president thanks Cuba for its hospitality and strength

Luis Alberto Arce, President of Bolivia, thanked Army General Raúl Castro, President Miguel Díaz-Canel, and the Cuban people, for the hospitality and revolutionary strength conveyed during his recent visit to Cuba.
 
On Twitter, Arce described his work agenda in Havana as intense, while assuring the progress of both countries in areas that strengthen integration such as security with food sovereignty, health, education and tourism.
