A painting done for the VIII Congress of the UJC (Young Communist League) held in Havana from December 2nd to 5th in 2004. It was presented by the painter to the Commander in Chief.
Donated by the artist’s son to the Commander in Chief.

Oil on canvas, dedicated by the artist to Fidel, on his 35th birthday. The Commander in Chief met Oswaldo Guayasamín (1919-1999) in May of 1961 when the painter travelled to Cuba to take part in the International Labour Day celebrations. Fidel posed for the painter on four occasions: 1961, 1981, 1986 y 1996.
