Hungary’s Government grants the First Grade Flag Order, the highest national award, in an official ceremony, Hungary’s President Pal Losonczi hands over the high distinction. In gratitude to such honour he expressed: “After the Soviet Union Hungary was the second country to establish a socialist revolutionary government” he refers to the long history of workers’ and farm labourers’ struggle for socialism and adds “For that reason we receive with deep emotion this award, which commit us to keep fighting for the development of relations between our two peoples, for the triumph of socialism, for the union of the international communist movement in the fight against imperialism”.
