UN Recognizes Work of Cuban Collaborators in Haiti
The Special Deputy representative of the UN Secretary General, Morad Wahba labeled excellent the work done by the Cuban medical brigade in Haiti.
Wahba said that such work is widely recognized at the highest level of the United Nations, that in various occasions highlighted praiseworthy path of the health staff in Haiti fighting the cholera epidemic and more recently in Africa in the fight against Ebola.
According to a note from the Cubaminrex site , the official expressed his interest to maintain a close cooperative relationship with Cuban organizations and institutions to mitigate the effects that could cause future natural disasters and epidemics in Haiti.
The leadership of the Cuban Medical Brigade-emphasized the text- is permanent guest to the periodical meetings of the Sectorial Working Groups in the Health Public Ministry where they analyze the epidemiological situation of the country.
