Cuban Parliament President Ricardo Alarcon met Henry Foster, president of the Malawi National Assembly, who is visiting this country leading a delegation invited by the island''s legislative body.

The meeting took place at a frankness and cordiality atmosphere, in the framework of friendship relations between both parliaments, Granma newspaper reported.

The distinguished visitor was also welcomed on Tuesday by Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Marcos Rodriguez.

Both figures exchanged criteria on issues of interest for the two countries, and agreed to continue working for strengthening upward bilateral links.

Chemutsu and his accompanied delegation arrived in Cuba Monday. They have been fulfilling a working program, including meetings with several representatives from the State and government's organizations, as well as visits to sites of historic and social interest.
