Raúl receives Slovakian Prime Minister
The two leaders confirmed the positive state of bilateral relations during a cordial meeting, and agreed on the potential which exists to further develop ties.
Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Cuba’s Councils of State and Ministers, yesterday afternoon October 8, received the honorable Prime Minister Robert Fico of the Slovak Republic.
The two leaders confirmed the positive state of bilateral relations during a cordial meeting, and agreed on the existing potential to further develop ties. They additionally discussed issues of mutual interest on the international agenda.
Accompanying the distinguished guest were Miroslav Lajcak, deputy prime minister and minister of European Foreign Relations; Peter Kazimir, deputy prime minister and minister of Finance; as well as the country’s ambassador in Cuba, Ladislav Straka.
Also present on the Cuban side were Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla and Loipa Sánchez Lorenzo, ambassador to the Slovak Republic.
