President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez visits Fidel’s tomb
As part of his tour of Santiago de Cuba, President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez visited the patrimonial cemetery of Santa Ifigenia this Thursday morning, where he began by laying a white calla lily, which grow in the Sierra Maestra, at the tomb of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro.
The tributes continued, also with white flowers, as the Cuban President visited the tombs of Cuban National Hero José Martí, the “Father of the Homeland” Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, and the “Mother of the Homeland” Mariana Grajales. Tribute was also paid to those Cubans who fell while fulfilling internationalist missions.
