Premier of Documentary on a Recently Found Old Interview of Fidel Castro
As part of the Cuban Film Institute’s celebration of the 53rd anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, Film Director Rebeca Chavez will premier on Thursday a documentary on the recently found interview of Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro.
The documentary is titled “The Longest Day” and according to its director, it made her see the importance of digging up and preserving the memory of a people, a country like Cuba. The documentary is about an interview made by reporter Luis Navarro, on January 4th 1959 in an airport in Camaguey. In the interview, Revolution Leader Fidel Castro talks about events related to the final days of Batista’s Tyranny.
