Paraguayan Coordinating Committee Highlights Cuba''s Solidarity
The greatness of the Cuban Revolution in expanding solidarity to the humblest of the world was highlighted at the 10th Congress of the Paraguayan Coordinating Committee.
Guillermo Veron, foreign affairs secretary of the Communist Party of Paraguay, said one of the greatest lessons of the process initiated in the Caribbean island more than half a century ago, has been "solidarity and humanism to build a better world".
For his part, Domingo Laino, one of the honorary presidents of the Coordinating Committee, stressed that despite the unjust and cruel blockade of more than five decades against Cuba, "it still continues to educate its people and the humblest of Latin America and the world".
Laino mentioned health and education programs offered by Cubans to Paraguay, and expressed "deep and infinite gratitude for that solidarity with the poorest families" of this South American nation.
The event, which was held in the Congress Bicameral Chamber, was attended by the ambassador of Venezuela, Javier Arrue, and Bernardo Guanche, from Cuba. Also present at the meeting were representatives of leftwing political parties and other guests.
