This is the work of our country confronting imperialist aggression. Here is U.S. malice, and on the other hand, the heroism and victory of an entire people. With these words Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, Political Bureau member and first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers, described the Memorial de una Denuncia, during the inauguration of the museum devoted to Cuba's resistance, which took place on the 91st anniversary of Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro's birth.
 
The Memorial de una Denuncia which will be open to the public, tomorrow, August 15, is located at 5th Avenue and 14th Street in the Havana municipality of Playa, and features six exhibition halls reflecting different aspects of U.S. aggressions against Cuba, including state terrorism, economic war, media distortions, and manipulation of the migration issue.
 
Likewise included is an audiovisual hall devoted to the explosion of the ship
 
La Coubre, and a space for traveling expositions currently featuring a visual arts show related to this tragedy.
 
Díaz-Canel commented that the events depicted are key to Cuba's history, and that the museum helps to understand how a small people, with much intelligence and heroism, has been able, and continues, to confront so much manipulation and aggression.
 
During the opening ceremony, Aymara Guzmán Carrazana, president of the José Martí Pioneers Organization said, "The Memorial de la Denuncia addresses the history of men and women who struggled to make possible that, after almost 60 years, this Revolution is still alive, rising, and growing."
