Namibia Prime Minister Complies with Work Agenda in Cuba

Namibia''s Prime Minister Hage Gottfried will participate today at a business forum, as part of activities of his official visit to Cuba.

According to the program, the Melia Cohiba Hotel in Havana will be the venue of the meeting, organized by the Chamber of Commerce. The objective is to update the delegation accompanying Gottfried about the island's new investments and collaboration projects, in the context of the current economic changes.

The exchange will focus on areas such as mining industry, renewable energy, agriculture, health, food industry, construction, physical planning, and education, among others.

Early today, the statesman will pay tribute to Cuban national hero Jose Marti with a wreath at the monument erected at the Havana's Revolution Square.

Gottfried will be in Cuba until March 1.

Cuba and Namibia established diplomatic relations in March 1990 and at present, both nations maintain excellent bilateral relations.
