Haitians Ratify Commitment With Cuban 5
The Association of Haitian professionals trained in Cuba reaffirmed their support to the struggle for the release of the five anti-terrorist fighters of the island unjustled held in the United States for more than 14 years.
Frank Dupuche, executive secretary of the group, said they will continue supporting the cause of Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero and Rene Gonzalez, Cuban diplomatic sources told Prensa Latina.
The Haitians' commitment was reiterated during a meeting with Junier Calderon, 3rd secretary of the Port-au-Prince embassy in Havana, and Yoandra Rodriguez, official of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples.
They were detained on September 12, 1998, when monitoring the destructive actions of anti-Cuban groups based in southern Florida, USA.
