Cuban Vice President Calls for Improvement in the Press
Cuban First Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel today called on the Cuban press to continue the improvement of the work in the media.
Any work of the Revolution is incomplete if the press is not present and if the people are not identified in our media, he said.
Díaz-Canel toured the facilities of the Cuban Television News Service and congratulated all Cubas journalists, who celebrate the Day of the Press today.
He said in the current process of economic and social update in Cuba, information agencies have made progress in the development of communication strategies, reducing the secrecy of information sources.
Regarding the last Congress of the Cubas Union of Journalists held in late July, Díaz-Canel stated that it contributed to this improvement process, without denying the history and culture that Cuban journalism has made.
