Cuban Vice President Attends Climate Summit

Cuban Vice President Esteban Lazo is leading his country's delegation to the World Peoples' Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth, which continues on Wednesday in Cochabamba, Bolivia.

This event that closes on Thursday after three days of exchanges, will ratify the commitment from social, indigenous, scientific and peoples' movements and organizations in their struggle against climate change, Granma newspaper reported.

The Cuban delegation is also comprised of First Deputy Science, Technology and Environment Minister Fernando Gonzalez, and Deputy Foreign Minister Abelardo Moreno.
