Cuban Minister Highlights Importance of Business Contracts

Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister for Foreign Minister and Foreign Investment (MINCEX), stressed the importance of the adequade use of contracts as regulatory instruments of true relationships among companies. 

After summarizing the annual review of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba (CCC), Malmierca said on Thursday that detected mistakes in some of these documents have caused damages, costing millions of pesos to the economy. 

Those deficiencies are linked to problems that have to do with the quality and terms of delivery of goods, among other factors, he stated.

The MINCEX minister noted that changes in current and future years will be crucial and complex, and of particular importance and impact in the implementation of economic and social guidelines.

All sectors of the country are practically involved in deep processes of analysis to identify the main weaknesses and determine actions to eliminate them, he added.

In turn, CCC president Estrella Madrigal said among short-term tasks, to continue the maximum economic, financial, and legal attention from the leaders to the managerial sector with a new approach to promote import substitution and increased exports.
