Cuban FM Concludes N Korea Visit

Pyongyang, Sep 5 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla concluded Saturday an official visit to the Democratic People''s Republic of Korea (DPRK), last part of the agenda of his official visit that also included China.

  Sources of the Cuban delegation, speaking of the result of the visit of Cuban Foreign Minister in Pyongyang told Prensa Latina this visit helped to continue the political dialogue of high level between the two countries as expression of the excellent bilateral relations.

Rodriguez Parrilla, in his first official to DPRK, was welcomed by the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly Kim Yong Nam.

Education Minister and president of the Committee of Solidarity with the Caribbean country Kim Yong Jin, and Foreign Trade Minister Ri Ryong Nam, also attended the meeting.

Cuban FM Rodriguez Parrilla arrived in this capital on Thursday and later met with his N Korean peer Pak Ui Chun during the ceremony of welcome.

Both Foreign Ministers held official talks on Friday as part of a program that included an interview with a member of the Secretariat of the Worker's Party of Korea and President of the Supreme People�s Assembly Choe Tae Bok.

They tackled issues related with the bilateral relations and with international matters, same time they reaffirmed the excellent state of the links between both countries and the disposition to continue strengthening them on the eve of the celebration of its 50th anniversary, same sources added.

The host part reiterated the support to Cuba in their struggle against the economic, commercial and financial US blockade imposed to the Caribbean nation more than 50 years ago.

They also reaffirmed their support to the cause of the antiterrorist Cuban Five unjustly held in US prisons.
