Cuban deputies to discuss decisive issues

Decisive issues linked to the country’s economic, political and social life are to be discussed by Cuban deputies when they meet July 29- 29 and then on August 1, for the 5th Ordinary Session of the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly. This was confirmed yesterday during a press conference at government headquarters during which the presidents of several commissions gave details of their working agendas.

Cuban deputies to discuss decisive issuesThe deputies explained that on July 28 and 29, they will be participating in Committees, while on July 30 and 31 they will receive information from various ministries. Then on August 1, they are to meet in a plenary session to discuss the Road Safety Code and Modification of the Administrative Political Division bills. They will also analyze the results of the temporary committee created to examine complaints and requests from the population, as well as checking that the budget set for 2009 was met.

Various presidents of the National Assembly committees announced the issues to be discussed by the deputies on July 28 and 29, most of which are concerned with the principal aspects of society. The discussions will be attended by ministers and officials to provide information and exchange opinions on the reports and parliamentary studies.
