Cuba: Regional Congress on Family Medicine Opens
The 3rd Regional Congress on Family Medicine and the 10th International Seminar on Primary Health Care (PHC) is scheduled to begin on Tuesday in Havana with participation of prestigious experts.
The congress agenda includes debates on the functioning of the family group, nursery at home and during the final stages of life, domestic violence, sexual and reproductive health throughout life, aging, chronic transmissible diseases and the clinical method.
Scientific papers on human resources training for PHC and family medicine-undergraduate and graduate, virtual and distance education, the use of information technology, health systems reform, among other topics, will be also discussed during the congress.
Specialists from Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Bolivia, Paraguay, Colombia, Mexico and Cuba, among other nations, will attend the forum, to be held at Havana's Convention Palace until Friday 16.
