Cuba: Recognized Experts Attend Seminar of Nanoscience
Recognized experts from a dozen countries are attending the third International Seminar of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology that is beginning its scientific sessions at Palacio de las Convenciones on Tuesday.
Around 40 specialists from Russia, China, Japan, Holland, France, Italy, United States, Spain, Brazil, Iran, South Africa and other nations will participate in the meeting promoted by the Scientific Adviser's Office and the Cuban Center for Advanced Studies (CEAC).
The seminar agenda includes issues as Bionanotechnology and Biomedicine, functional Nanomaterials and Nanostructures; Applications, Nanocharacterization and Computer Modeling; Nanosafety and social impact of nanotechnologies. These works will be presented in lectures, oral presentations and posters.
The binational workshops Cuba-Brazil and Cuba-South Africa will take place to promote collaboration through the approval of joint thematic projects.
The seminar main objective is unifying and approaching from the wide range of Nanoscience areas, those that are expected to have applications such as nanomedicine, functional nanomaterials, computer modeling and others.
