Cuba: Homage to U.S. Filmmaker Elias Kazan
A tribute to the outstanding U.S. filmmaker Elias Kazan will take place this central Cuban province on the occasion of the centennial of his birth.
Movie theaters in the cities of Ciego de Avila and Moron in central Cuba, will screen some of the main films of the notorious Greek-born filmmaker, who studied drama at Yale University.
Kazan became famous in 1945 with the film "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn", with which actors James Dunn and Peggy Ann Garner won an Oscar.
For his extensive work, he was one of the best directors of his time in U.S. film making.
