Cuba, China Overcome Language Barriers
The educational collaboration between Cuba and China lives these days a historic moment when graduating the first university students from the Asian country to study in Cuba, as part of a program started in 2006.
Some 23 young people received certificates of Bachelor in Spanish Language, after completed four of their five years of studies, studying their fifth-year courses in China with the support of Cuban professors.
Other 108 Chinese students will also receive university diplomas in a ceremony at the Main Lecture hall of the University of Havana on July 6, whose rector Gustavo Cobreiro attended the ceremony held at the Xi'an International Studies University in Shaanxi province.
Highlighting the importance of this new charter in collaboration, Cobreiro termed it a palpable example of the close relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Hu Sishe, rector of the mentioned Chinese institution, also sent a similar message, saying those young people express deep and close bilateral links.
