Artists of the central province of Villa Clara will celebrate on Saturday night the anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes barracks on July 26, 1953, a national day in Cuba.

The gala begins the celebrations in the city of Santa Clara, more than 168 miles east of Havana, for the 57th anniversary on Monday of the assault on Moncada Barracks, carried out by the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, and more than one hundred young people.

Groups such as the trio Trovarroco, Alter Ego and Guitar and Chamber Orchestra will meet from 21:00 local time at the La Caridad Theather in Villa Clara, where are buried the remains of the Argentine-Cuban guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara.

Before the show, the exhibition "50 Razones en Saludo al 26" (50 reasons to celebrate the 26th), organized by the Cuban Association of Social Communicators, will open, exhibiting contemporary graphic design samples on the main achievements of Cuba during 50 years of Revolution.
