Canadian Solidarity Groups Urge End of Cuban Blockade
Canadian solidarity groups today demanded an end to the blockade to Cuba and the return of the illegally occupied Cuban territory of the U.S. naval base in Guantanamo.
"Prior to the visit of President, Barack Obama, to Havana, let's unite around the world to make clear our call for an immediate end to the cruel Washington blockade against the Cuban people and the return of the U.S. naval base in Guantanamo to Cuba," their statement said.
The Canadians, friends of Cuba, will protest against the blockade each month at the U.S. consulate in Vancouver.
Participants in the protest action will also demand that the White House stops the 'regime change' campaign in the Caribbean nation and stops its interference in its sovereignty and self-determination.
