Book by Fidel Castro Launched in Bolivia

Bolivian President Evo Morales presided over the launch on Tuesday of the book ‘La Paz en Colombia’ (Peace in
Colombia) by the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

During the launch at the Quemado Palace, Morales praised Fidel “for being a teacher of solidarity and unconditional cooperation with other peoples.”

According to Prensa Latina news agency, the Bolivian leader referred to the importance of this book for the social and progressive movements around the world, “for which Cuba is an example”.

He added that “those who say that Cuba exports revolutions should already know by now that what Cuba exports is health and education to improve the quality of life of the poor.”

Morales announced that December 18 will mark the beginning of a week of celebrations in Bolivia to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.

For his part, Cuban Culture Minister Abel Prieto, who participated in the launch of the book, said that its main message is the respect for ethics that all revolutionary processes should have.
