Bolivia's Morales Meets Fidel Castro
Bolivian President Evo Morales expressed the importance of having met with Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro, media reported Friday after his visit ended yesterday.
"I was with the Commandante for about two hours, and he seemed splendid, stronger," said Morales referring to Thursday meeting with Fidel Castro, Juventud Rebelde newspaper stated.
The Bolivian head of State stressed the Cuban Revolution leader feels very well. Both leaders talked of health, social and economic policies.
The South American statesman met shortly after with President Raul Castro and First Vicepresident Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, who previously accompanied him in a master lecture at the Havana University.
Morales, who traveled to Paraguay to meet with his peer Fernando Lugo, reiterated his people's gratitude for the unconditional Cuban support, particularly in health and education.
The Bolivian president agreed with Fidel Castro and Raul Castro on the need to strengthen Latin American unity, as well as increasing what both countries have reached in the multilateral circles, sources reported.
