Bolivia Thanks Fidel and Raul for Contributions in Health
Bolivia's Deputy Health Minister Arianna Campero thanked in this capital the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, and Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, for being a bastion of dignity and honor for the peoples.
During the opening of the 3rd edition of Havana's International Congress on Labiofam, which brings together some 600 delegates of 20 nations, Doctor Campero acknowledged the Cuban government for her country's development in health over the last eight years of processes of change, led by President Evo Morales.
On behalf of the Bolivian head of state, she conveyed fraternal greetings to Fidel and Raul and to the Cuban people for the demonstrations of solidarity and fraternity they continue to give to the world.
She also expressed her country's gratitude for the physicians that have graduated in Cuba. "In addition to the political commitment of struggle for the fraternity it generates with our peoples, we have a moral commitment to the island for the presence of the medical brigade it maintains in our State, and that so far works in isolated communities, saving lives and offering their services free of charge," she pointed out.
Likewise, she ratified her admiration for the island for the presence of the literacy teaching campaign Yo si puedo, and presently the Yo si puedo seguir, which thanks to their great efforts, it was been possible to eliminate illiteracy from the South American nation.
Doctor Campero announced that the process of the agreement with Cuba to control vectors and fight dengue is strengthening. She also announced the purchasing of a biological product to fight larvae, produced by the Cuban company Labiofam, which will benefit 19 municipalities of seven departments in her country.
