More than 700 delegates of social and indigenous people''s movements of the member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the People of Our Americas (ALBA), are beginning Thursday their first Summit.

Representatives of 40 European, African and Asian countries are attending the deliberations in Casa Campestre, which is located 6.2 miles from the center of Cochabamba.

Issues as community economy, climate change, food sovereignty, autonomy- self-determination, systematic consultation and participation in projects and mega-projects excel among the issues of that meeting that is part of the 7th ALBA Summit.

Representatives will also debate about the ALBA and the People's Trade Agreement (TCP) implementation. The People's Trade Agreement was an initiative of Bolivian President Evo Morales.

Isaac Avalos, secretary of the Single Confederation of Bolivian Rural Laborers (CSUTCB) and member of the organizing committee, told Prensa Latina that the strategic mandates and guidelines that emerged from that forum would be handed over to the heads of State or Government of the ALBA nations.

With that purpose, social organizations would meet with the heads of delegations from Bolivia, Cuba, Venezuela, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Dominica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Antigua and Barbuda on Saturday at Felix Capriles Stadium.
