Belarusian Legislators in Solidarity with Cuba
A resolution issued against Cuba by the European Parliament was rejected on Monday by the Group of Friendship with Cuba in the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
In a statement, deputies in solidarity with Cuba in Minsk strongly criticized the stand assumed by the European Union, describing it as interference in the internal affairs of the Caribbean Island.
The Belarusian legislators condemned the EP double standard and said that the EU interferes in Cuba's human rights and at the same time ignores great violations committed in its own nations.
The message of solidarity stresses that the Belarusian deputies condemn any form of interference or attack, including the US blockade against the Cuban people.
It also ratifies their solidarity with the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba (Cuban Parliament) and demands respect for the Cubans' right to decide their own fate and economic, political and social model.
