Award Ceremony for UNESCO/Jose Marti Prize to Be Held in Cuba

Award ceremony for the International UNESCO/Jose Marti Prize will be held in Havana at the end of this month.
The ceremony will take place during the Second International Conference "With All and for the Good of All" from January 25-28.
 
The purpose of this prize is to promote and reward an activity of outstanding merit in accordance with the ideals and spirit of Jose Marti, Cuban national hero. By embodying a nationâ�Ös aspiration to sovereignty and its struggle for liberty, this activity has contributed, in any region of the world, to the unity and integration of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.
 
According to Prensa Latina, Cuban Ambassador to Unesco Dulce Maria Buergo stated that this is a very important prize, since it allows to promote Jose Marti's ideals, which are in total harmony with the fundamental values promoted by this organization since its foundation.
