The ALBA Foreign Ministers meet here Saturday during the 8th Summit of the organization focused on revising previous term of office and analyzing measures for relaunching this regional integration mechanism.

Cuerpo : In interview with Prensa Latina the Venezuelan FM Francisco Arias Cardenas emphasized that the Political Commission was in session until late on Friday night aimed at drawing up the documents that will be submitted to the ministers.

We have gained progress in some important elements like revision of previous term of offices since this Summit is being considered a moment of reflection, revision and ALBA's relaunching, noted the Foreign Minister.

According to Arias they also analyzed the new organization of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our America- People's Trade Treaty (ALBA-PTT) with a structure that diversify responsibilities within this mechanism, giving each area its own structure and essence.

That proposal that among other authorities also includes councils and ALBA-PTT commissions will be analyzed by foreign ministers and the on Sunday to the Heads of States and governments attending the event that will be extended until Monday that will conclude with its final declaration on Sunday

The Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister put forward that the Political Commission revised the document proposal that will be presented to the Foreign Ministers and Heads of States which text will obviously add elements of reflections and debates of the leaders to enrich the declaration.

The bill also included main issues like Honduras Putsch and the problem of the US military bases in the region particularly the string of enclaves Washington agreed to establish in Colombia which topic was analyzed in details during Friday's meeting.
