Activists call for Twitter Day of Action to demand freedom for the Cuban Five
The International Committee for the Freedom of five Cubans imprisoned in the United States invites surfers to join this Saturday a Twitter Day of Action to demand their release.
According to the organization, the official hashtags of the campaign are #ObamaLiberalos5Ya! #ObamaFreetheFiveNow! #ObamaGivemeFive and #ObamaGestoHumanitarioxlos5!.
This will be the first global initiative in 2013 in support of the cause of Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González and René González, who face severe sanctions since 1998 for monitoring the activities of anti-Cuba extremist groups based in Miami, responsible for countless terrorist attacks against Cuba and thousands of human casualties over the course of five decades.
