Academicians Meet in Havana on Clinical Accreditation
Today marks the second day of an international workshop on clinical accreditation by the American Association for Clinical Chemistry being held in Havana
In an interview with Prensa Latina, Dr. Enrique Abraham Marcel, who presided over the organizing of the event, said that this meeting was particularly special due to the presence, for the first time, of the American guests.
Yesterday, Cuban experts debated the uses and limitations of tumor markers and making clinical diagnosises with auto-antibodies.
About 250 national specialists and nearly 150 professionals from Peru, Mexico, Germany, Chile, Spain, Argentina, France and the United States are attending the meeting.
The National Congress of Clinical Pathology is also in progress; both events are being held at the Havana's Conference Center, until the 11th of March.
The event was organized by the Cuban Society of Clinical Pathology, founded in 1945, and the Ministry of Public Health.
