Raul Castro in Ecuador to Attend Inauguration of President-elect Rafael Correa

Cuban President Raul Castro arrived today in Quito, Ecuador, heading his country´s delegation to the swearing in ceremony of President-elect Rafael Correa Delgado, which will take place Monday.
The Cuban delegation includes Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla and Havana´s Historian Eusebio Leal Spengler.

Raul Castro Presides Over Swearing-In Ceremony of New Cuban Ambassadors

President Raul Castro presided over the swearing-in ceremony of 38 new Cuban ambassadors on Saturday in Havana.“Being an ambassador of the revolutionary Cuba is a big commitment with the homeland, with Fidel (Castro) and Raul (Castro), with the Communist Party and with socialism, and it entails representing a people that have carried out so many heroic deeds,” said Deputy Foreign Minister Ana Teresita Gonzalez addressing the diplomats.

Cuba to the World Youth Volleyball Final

Cuba beat Argentine 3 to 1 and qualified for the great (men´s) Volleyball final in Pune 2009, for the second time in the history of those competitions that have began since 1977.
