The 30th Sandinista Anniversary and the San José proposal

... the people of Honduras are the ones who will have the last word. Representatives of the social organizations and the new forces are not the instruments of anyone, inside or outside the country. They know the needs and suffering of the people, their awareness and their mettle have multiplied ...

What should be demanded from the United States

What they want to demand from the Honduran people in the name of peace is to deny all the principles for which all the nations of this hemisphere have fought.

Invests Juan Miguel Gonzalez with the Order of "Carlos Manuel de Céspedes"

This reward is given for services rendered to the country to nationals or foreign persons in the exercise of diplomatic or consular duties, special missions, international conferences and congresses and distinguished services to Cuba and humanity.

A gesture that will never be forgotten

I was impressed when I saw him on Telesur, haranguing the Honduran people.  He was energetically denouncing a gross reactionary refusal aimed at preventing an important popular consultation.  That is the “democracy” that imperialism defends.  Zelaya has not infringed the law in any way; neither did he resort to the use of force.
