NGO accuses Israel of using hunger as a weapon

This Thursday, UN Secretary General António Guterres welcomed the movement of people and humanitarian assistance through the Rafah crossing.

Cuba reiterates the search for ways out of the US blockade

This was ratified by the Cuban government after a new victory at the United Nations, with 187 nations that voted in favor of the resolution “Need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.”
 
The President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, considered the results “a new victory for the Cuban people and its Revolution; the recognition and support of the international community for the heroism and resistance of Cuba, as well as the triumph of dignity and the bravery of our people.”

President Miguel Díaz-Canel is attending the closing day of the 11th Congress of the Union of Cuban Journalists (Upec) at the Convention Palace in Havana.

Cuba present at China-Latin America business summit

The 16th China-Latin America and Caribbean (China-LAC) Business Summit ended in Beijing today under the theme Open innovation and shared development, in which Cuba showed leading products.
 
The vice president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Tania Aguiar, participated in the opening of this event that brought together more than a thousand high-level representatives, including government officials, leaders of international organizations and prominent businessmen.
 

Cuba and Russia sign economic-trade cooperation plan

The governments of Russia and Cuba signed in Moscow a commercial and economic cooperation plan until 2030 to promote the growth of bilateral trade and increased investments.
 
The document was signed by the deputy prime ministers Dmitri Chernishenko and Ricardo Cabrisas, and is aimed at increasing commercial, economic and scientific-technical cooperation, stimulating the growth of trade and investments and strengthening ties between business communities.
 

United Nations General Assembly votes soon on Cuba's resolution against U.S. blockade

Cuba's resolution on the need to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States will be put to a vote today at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), after a first day of debate in which the international community expressed its rejection of this unilateral policy.
 
As part of today's session, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. (Cuban time), Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Caribbean island, will speak, followed by the vote.
 

Debate against U.S. blockade of Cuba reaches UN General Assembly

The United Nations General Assembly meets Wednesday in plenary session for the first of two days devoted to considering the draft resolution calling for an end to the U.S. blockade against Cuba.
 
More than 50 speakers will intervene on Wednesday when the forum meets for the 31st time to analyze the impact of the siege imposed against the Caribbean nation and considered the main obstacle to its development.
