- He writes a new letter to Melba and Haydeé warning them about Prioand his followers’ purpose of weakening the ranks of the moncadistas in exile: "The disposition to agree with the Authentics constitutes a serious ideological deviation. If we did not do it before when they had millions upon millions to spear and we were begging for pennies and going through all sorts of hardships to buy weapons, considering them incapable, without morals and without ideology to lead the revolution. How can we now do so, over the dead bodies and the blood of those who gave their lives for their pure ideas? "
