- His sense of rebelliousness about one of the inspectors in charge of boarding students at the Colegio, Brother Bernardo’s attitude and mistreatment results in the Principal calling in Ángel and Lina in order to complain about their sons’ behaviour. Don Ángel decides to take his sons out of school and takes them back to Birán so that they can dedicate their time to farm life.
