Cuban nurse Mercedes Prieto is currently guaranteeing good child health in Jamaica with her experience, by providing healthcare at the Bustamante Hospital for Children, the only pediatric center in that Caribbean nation.
 
Close to turning 51 years old, Prieto has been working in Jamaica since January 23 and currently, in addition to ensuring the welfare of those children in the neonatology ward, she helps fighting Covid-19.
 
The Cuban nurse highlighted in her first internationalist mission the pride and satisfaction of being a member of the island's medical brigade, which in Jamaica and in other countries complies with the humanistic principle of saving lives.
