Cuba reiterates support for Venezuela’s sovereignty

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel today reiterated his support for Venezuela's sovereignty, following the certification by the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) of Nicolas Maduro's victory in that country's presidential elections.

The Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of #Venezuela has already certified the victory of @NicolasMaduro in the 28J elections and ordered the publication of the results to the CNE.

“When will the intruders and those who doubt apologize to the reelected President and his brave and noble people?” He asked through X social media.

Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez expressed himself in similar terms yesterday, calling for respect for the decisions of Venezuelan institutions and calling for an end to interference in that South American nation.

The Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice certified on Thursday President Nicolas Maduro’s victory after a formal review of the results of the presidential elections held on July 28.

Such ruling confirmed that ‘in an unrestricted and unequivocal manner (…) the bulletins issued by the National Electoral Council are supported by the tally sheets issued by each one of the machines’.

According to the president of the Supreme Court, Caryslia Rodriguez, in the context of these elections Venezuela suffered an attempted coup d’état accompanied by a large scale cyber attack.
