Cuba and Norway advocate strengthening ties and expanding cooperation
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and his Norwegian counterpart, Anniken Huitfeldt, ratified at the United Nations the will to strengthen ties between their nations.
According to the highest representative of the island's diplomacy, in a meeting held the day before in New York, the United States, the parties advocated promoting political dialogue and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
In the context of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which has been taking place in this city since Tuesday, Rodriguez completed a work agenda that included contacts with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Pham Bin Minh and Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra.
Rodriguez also participated this Thursday in a meeting of foreign ministers and other representatives of the 22 Latin American countries, Spain and Portugal to analyze details of the preparations for the XXVIII Ibero-American Summit, to be held next year in the Dominican Republic.
