Cambodia reiterates willingness to cooperate with Cuba in agriculture
The Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry Resources and Fisheries, Dit Tina, ratified here in Phnom Penh, the willingness to strengthen agricultural cooperation with Cuba, a nation with whom the Kingdom today maintains excellent bilateral relations.
Tina expressed this willingness when he received the new Cuban ambassador to Cambodia, Milena Zaldívar, in a meeting in which both stressed the mutual commitment to promote investment in the rice sector in Cuba, giving continuity to the historic ties of fraternal friendship that have existed for more than six decades.
In this sense, they identified relevant legal aspects to achieve the success of the investment process, establishing a bilateral work scheme to follow up on the consensus reached, which will allow building trust among the actors involved in the project and guarantee its true economic sustainability.
In this regard, Tina pointed out the necessary articulation and coordination between the parties and the availability of technology and agricultural inputs to increase productivity as key factors for the success and attraction of investors.
