Delegates from 40 Countries to Cuba Forum for World Balance

Over 300 delegates confirmed their attendance to the 3rd International Conference for World Balance to be held here on 28-30 of January, 2013, informed the Organizing Committee. 

The event to take place in the Havana Convention Center stands out in the program to mark the 160th anniversary of Cuban National Hero, Jose Marti' s birth date. 

The forum aims to debate a wide-reaching agenda with the main world problems as we know them today, stated to Prensa Latina the vicepresident of the Organizing Committed, Hector Hernández.

According to the academic, personalities from Latin America, the Caribbean, North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East will take part in the conference which has been celebrated previously on 2003 and 2008.

Among the participants he mentioned Brazilian Dominican friar and writer Frei Betto, Nobel Peace Laureate Adolfo Perez Esquivel of Argentina, Ex Dominican president Leonel Fernandez, Belgian theology Francois Houtart, French intellectual Ignacio Ramonet and President of the World Peace Council, Maria Do Socorro Gomes.

Besides the foreign delegates, the forum will be attended by 200 national delegates, affirmed General Subdirector of the Marti Program Office.

The Conference for World Balance will be occasion for delivering the award of the International Jose Marti Prize, given by UNESCO to those from any part of the planet who contribute to Latin American and Caribbean integration as well as the preservation of regional identity and historical values.
