Cuban VP to Visit China

Cuban Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas will visit China from Saturday and will attend activities for the 50 anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Cabrisas visit to China is a response to an invitation of the Chinese government, said on Wednesday Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu while announcing new relations between both countries.

Cabrisas will meet with Chinese authorities as part of a program to be ended on October 1, after attending activities for the 50 anniversary of diplomatic relations at Shanghai International Fair.

Diplomatic relations between Havana and Beijing were established on September 28, 1960. Cuba was the first Latin American country in establishing relations with China.
